Just so you know…

just so you know #birthtraumaJust so you know

How he was born does matter

and still matters, almost four years on.

Just so you know

Yes I am grateful and almost painfully aware that he is here and he is alive and he is healthy and happy and wonderful

but telling me that does not make the searing mess that was his birth any easier at all.

And

Just so you know

am allowed to feel this way.

Despite knowing that far worse things happen to far more people and far more people have been through so much more than I probably ever will.

Just so you know

This is how I feel.

I totally understand this, Boo is 5 and I still have nightmares about his birth. Thankfully E’s birth was practically perfect, but it doesn’t stop the fear of the first birth which was so horrific 2 1/2 years before… x

I’m so sorry you had a traumatic birth. I’m not sure I knew but you always have supported my posts about Luka’s birth, so thank you

Great post – you are totally justified in feeling how you feel. You can always find people who are in worse situations or who have had worse experiences but that doesn’t mean you feelings aren’t justified.
Trying to convince yourself otherwise does more harm than good.

Of course it’s ok to feel like this. I’m so sorry that you’ve been through something so traumatic and that’s left you so sad. Sending massive love and virtual hugs until they can be real ones xxx
