Just last week I found myself shortlisted in the Inspire category of the Brit Mums Brilliance in Blogging awards. Thank you SO much to all who voted for me- It’s amazing to get to this stage! And yes, to make it to the finals would be wonderful too. Just saying.
I’m writing for a change and I need your help to really make a difference.
As fellow bloggers will know, this is awards season, and yesterday nominations opened for the MAD Blog awards too.
I’d love your nomination in the pregnancy, baby and writer categories.
At six weeks gestation I began writing about my 4th pregnancy. I didn’t know how intense a journey it was going to be. Exhilarating. Emotional. Amazing.
documenting my VBAC journey
discussing body image in pregnancy
blogging our IUGR journey
to accepting my fourth and last baby would be born via c-section.
My last pregnancy was quite a journey and writing about it has been therapeutic. Sharing our ups and downs with you all has been an honour, and it’s reignited my passion for why I started blogging in the first place.
I am writing for a change. I want maternity service to improve. I want to believe we can do this. Maternity Matters is back with a new link up, and this blog is listed on the NHS Change Day website as a valuable resource for maternity staff and parents. I’m tweeting on the #MatExp hastag (LOVE our Twitter family!) and I’d love you to join us.
I am writing for change. For all women, their babies and their families. For women like me who were left broken and crushed. For women with empty arms that ache for the weight of their baby. For women facing untold stresses in pregnancy. Each and every time I am told that my writing has helped, soothed, or informed makes it worth it a hundred times over. A nomination in the best pregnancy category would mean the world.
I am writing for a change- to raise awareness of tongue tie, reflux and what happens to an IUGR baby after birth. Watch this space for information on weaning a baby with a cow’s milk protein allergy too…
A vote in best baby blog would mean the world to Elsie and I!
