We LOVE being part of the Frugi Family! The clothes are just beautiful and the company is pretty awesome too.

With their 1% for the planet policy, Frugi have now raised over £130,000, part of a collective $100 million worldwide. There are 1200 companies across 48 countries taking part to raise money for the safe-keeping of our world (you can find out more here) and I think it’s a pretty awesome thing to do. So every year Frugi donates 1% of it’s annual turnover to three environmental charities, which this year are The Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Cornwall Wildlife Trust, and The Woodland Trust.

With this in mind, and the fact that all the clothes in the Frugi range are organic, original and lovingly crafted, we jumped at the chance to continue as part of the Frugi family. Can you blame us?

This time it was Bella’s turn to try something from the new range, and we chose the Little Pretty Party dress in Natural Woodland design– it’s absolutely gorgeous!

The dress

The dress has such a lovely, fun design that we both loved straight away- and one that you immediately associate with frugi. We love the little caravans and bunting- it screams summer festivals and it’s been a firm favourite since it arrived!

*At the moment we are promoting independence in dressing, so some of the shots you’re about to see feature the Little Pretty Party Dress on back to front. Apologies! But the dress still looks FAB!

Button details at the shoulders

The dress has button fastenings at the straps, making it a simple design but a classic look for little girls. They’re nice and chunky too so good practise for little fingers.

Soft pleat waist

The dress also has a soft pleat in the skirt, which allows for the lovely shape, but also for lots of this:

running and playing! Essential for any child. And don’t forget bike riding too.

Perfect for spring/ cooler summer days

On cooler days, we’ve popped a long sleeved top underneath the dress and it works really well as a pinafore when the weather is not as warm as we’d like. A pair of leggings too.

Perfect for hot summer days

The dress is 100% organic cotton so cool to wear, lightweight, and breathable too. Perfect for hotter weather. When we get it!

The design

We love love love the design on the Natural Woodland Festival dress. The white is lovely for summer, and the little caravans and tress are just beautiful. It’s just fun, and pretty and perfect for Bella.

And it’s all over the dress too, so the back is just as beautiful as the front.

The verdict

We LOVE the dress! At £26 it’s a good investment for the summer. Bella wears the size 2-3 here so the sizes are generous, with plenty of room to play, run and grow. I’d highly recommend the dress and yet another classic design with a fun print for summer days. And I cannot wait for Elsie to wear it too in a couple of years time! For now though, this is Bella’s ‘Treehouses dress’ and she loves it!
