At the end of June, Elsie was invited to a local photography studio to model for one of our favourite brands in the world- The Essential One. Elsie is truly a The Essential One baby- throughout my pregnancy my bump was well dressed in their beautiful clothes (and I still wear the nursing vests today) and as a newborn she was gifted some beautiful vests and sleep suits from the brand too. The lovely Michelle (soon to re-launch as The Joy Chaser, please do read her goodbye post here) also sent us a wonderful knitted suit as a welcome gift when she was born too. More recently, we have also reviewed a new selection of suits and a dress– so you can say that modelling for The Essential One seemed to be a natural progression for us!
Of course, we’re lucky that The Essential One are a local brand, who choose to work with the babies that wear their clothes, and with bloggers that they’ve formed a relationship with. This was the second shoot for me, after Bella posed for the baby brand back in 2013. Lucky me, huh?
This time my sister and her daughter were with us, and as ever the fabulous Karen was on top form. It’s not easy entertaining three babies at the same time! But Karen has a knack and she seems to know how to get them to look straight at the camera with adorable expressions!
In fact, it was pretty much a joint effort!
Of course, the clothes speak for themselves. I cannot wait to tell you more about the wonderful new Autumn/ Winter collection at The Essential One. You’ll have to wait a little longer, but trust me when I tell you it’s going to be great.
Despite the numerous outfit changes, all the babies lasted well throughout the shoot. Although by the end Elsie was done, and ready for a sleep!
The Essential One have become a very special brand to me, and I consider myself lucky to call Karen a friend.
The modelling shoot was such a wonderful experience, as ever, and I think Elsie made a great little model too.
Such a poser… definitely a blog baby!
