It’s always a pleasure to receive and write about new products from Frugi, and I’m over the moon that this is our second year as part of the Frugi family. We simply adore Frugi products and have never been disappointed with any of our items. Recently we were asked to choose something from the new SS16 range and I have to say that it was quite difficult! I’m a huge fan of toddlers in dungarees and now that Elsie is really confident on her feet, I had no other option but to indulge in some Frugi dungers for her! We chose the Springtime Dungarees, and this is what we thought…
The first thing you notice about these dungarees is that they are bright! And fun. And oh so cute. I was drawn to the sunflowers because they always make me smile, and they match Elsie’s sunny personality so well.
Like all other offerings from Frugi, the Springtime Dungarees are made from organic cotton, so they’re kind to Elsie’s sensitive skin and they are lovely and soft to touch too. And because they’re from the SS16 collection they’re a lightweight cotton that’s perfect for summer days. Since we don’t really get the weather up north in April, Elsie’s been wearing hers with a long sleeved top underneath and I think that looks just as good as a t-shirt or no top underneath would. We long for those days… hurry up summer!
We chose 12-18 months but as Elsie is a little on the smaller side for her age, they have plenty of room in them; the measurements for the dungarees can be found on the site. What I love about them is that they are so roomy and so light, so when we do get those warmer summer days they aren’t going to stick to her and make her hot. Plus there is plenty of room for running, rolling and playing! All very important things to consider for toddlers, especially Elsie!
They have an elasticated back with adjustable button straps (so they really are going to last us a long time!)
And they also have elastic at the ankles, and poppers along the inside leg which makes nappy changes so much easier. Frugi really have designed these with feisty toddlers in mind!
As predicted, we love our Frugi Springtime Dungarees, and at £24 they are worth every penny. We’ve worn these loads already, despite the cold weather and they’ve washed really well. They’re comfortable, easy for Elsie to move in and they look awesome. And like all other products that Frugi sells, each purchase of the Springtime Dungarees contributes towards the brand’s policy to donate 1% of their profits to worldwide eco charities. And, again like everything else that Frugi sells, they’re made from sustainable organic cotton, so they’re kinder to baby and to the planet. Check out the rest of the the SS16 collection now!
