As ever, Jayne and I are so thrilled that so many of you are linking up with us, and we love reading your posts. Please keep sharing your posts with us- link as many as you like, old or new, and make your voice heard!

Last time I told you about the #MatExp ABC on Twitter- it’s still going! Today’s letter is R if you’d like to join in.

Please do take the time to visit some of the other posts that are linked up with us, and if you want to display our badge feel free. Oh, and one last thing…

Did you see that Ghostwritermummy has been short listed for a BIBs award?? Yes, really! If you fancy helping me get a little bit further, click the badge below and vote for me in the INSPIRE category.

BritMums

Yesterday I discovered that this little blog has been shortlisted for a Brit Mums Brilliance in Blogging award– the #BIBS2015.

Thank you.

as yet untold BIBS2015~ Ghostwritermummy.co.uk

Much of my story is as yet untold. But so much of it is bursting to get out, in the hope that I can make my voice heard.

Being shortlisted takes me another step further, and it means the world to me. They say that the future depends on what you do today… so today I would like to ask you all to take anther leap of faith with me.

Your vote would mean so much.

My category is Inspire, and it’s a pretty awesome category. The other writers in Inspire are amazing! To be counted amongst each and every one of them is a huge achievement in itself, that I can barely believe it true- but it is. And if it is true, then there is a chance I can go that little bit further to the finalist stages.

If you would like to help me bring my IUGR journey to the finals, please vote for me. If you would like to help bring Maternity Matters to the finals; If you would like to raise awareness and understanding of Hypermesis Gravidarum; If you would like to raise awareness of birth trauma in the finals; if you would like to help raise the profile (even more!) of #MatExp and all the brilliant work being done… your vote would mean the world.

The voting form is here. Please do consider all the wonderful writers in my category, and if you think that this little blog might just have a chance, please go for it. Voting is open now and finalists will be announced on the 22nd May.

Ways in which my c-sections make me amazing

If you’ve had a c-section, I hope you know that you are amazing.

I’ve had four c-sections. And until now, I have always been- if not ashamed- a little defensive over them.

But baby was in distress, so the section saved my life.

My son WOULD have died without a section.

It was the easiest decision for me after two traumatic failed labours and emergency sections.

The doctors said it was the safest and only way my baby could be delivered alive.

I’ve always been a little anxious when meeting new mums and the conversation turns to the birth. I’ve always assumed that there was something wrong with my body. Something wrong with me. I failed. I didn’t do what I was supposed to do….
