Colour My World: The Bic Kids Colouring Range

One thing that always amazes me as a parent is the array of quirks and talents that my children have. I never in a million years imagined a daughter playing defence in the local girl’s football team, or another showing such a flair for ballet and dance. Likewise, I have no idea where my son gets his artistic flair- it certainly isn’t from me! That boy will gladly spend hours with pens, pencils and crayons, drawing, colouring and creating- and his work is absolutely stunning! We were recently sent a few bits and pieces from the Bic kids range and I asked Luka to get busy testing them out for me.Colour My World: The Bic Kids Range_ Ghostwritermummy.co.uk

As you can see, he wasted no time creating a few masterpieces! (more…)

Swim Tots from Tots Bots: New Designs Revealed!

One thing I love about working with wonderful brands is getting the opportunity to preview new products and designs before everyone else! And believe me when I tell you that sitting (literally, in Elsie’s case!) on the latest designs for the Tots Bots swim nappy range, Swim Tots has been hard! I’ve really wanted to share them with you all because they are so fab! And now, at last, I can. There are two fab new designs in the Swim Tots range, and we have been lucky enough to get our hands one on of them for a spot of rigorous water slide testing. Allow me to reveal all…

Just how fabulous is this design? The colours really pop and the fun characters are perfect. Elsie was particularly enamoured with the little turtles and jelly fish and since she has a real passion for swimming she literally couldn’t wait to get this nappy on! (more…)

Our Num Noms Collection… Series Three

A little while ago Ghostwriterdaddy and I were talking about how the kids don’t really collect things like we used to. I was so SO proud of my rubber collection. I had them all stored in an old Quality Street tin and would literally spending hours just sniffing them. I was easily pleased- don’t tell me I’m the only one! My favourite was a little pink ferrari that smelled of strawberries… so anyway. There seems to be so much stuff / toys in our house, but nothing that has really caught their attention and made them want to start a collection. They’ve had Match Attax cards, squinkies, Lego cards… but nothing sticks. That was, until Bella discovered Num Noms. And now, apparently, we have a collection in the making. Here are my thoughts on our Num Noms collection… series three. Our Num Noms Collection... series three_Ghostrwritermummy.co.uk

Fit to Dance with Disney!

Back in October Bella and I were invited to go and see Disney’s Frozen on ice show in Manchester and it really couldn’t have been more of an exciting opportunity! Bella has been a huge Queen Elsa fan for as long as we both can remember; one of the first songs she learned to sing was ‘Do you Wanna Build a Snowman’ and since the song was released we’ve barely stopped playing both the DVD and the CD. It can get a little much sometimes, but I have to tell you that she’s not the only one more than a little bit in love with the film! Along with attending the amazing show, we were also asked to take a look at Disney’s Fit to Dance resources designed to help bring the fun to life, and to encourage kids to get active and start moving at home and school. This is our Fit to Dance with Disney story!

First of all, I need to let you know just how exciting this opportunity has been. This is Bella’s face when we first arrived at Disneyland in Paris last Christmas. As we walked through the gates, from her vantage position on Daddy’s shoulders, Bella immediately spotted Anna and Elsa in their ice carriage and she was. blown. away. I mean, look at that face!
