One thing I’ve always been a little over cautious with is teeth, for myself and for the kids too. It was always drummed into me as a child that once the big teeth came through, that was it. Those were your teeth for life, and you need to take care of them. I admit to being a little paranoid about oral hygiene, but since teaching a number of children with rotten teeth I always feel my fears are justified. As parents, its up to us to set a good example for our children, and that means taking good care of ourselves too. I never ever skip brushing my teeth and I never let the kids skip it either. It’s one of those non negotiable tasks that nobody ever questions, thankfully! I was recently asked if I’d like to try out a few products from the UltraDEX range, and since this brand had already been recommended to me by my dentist, I jumped at the chance.
We were sent a tube of UltraDEX low-abrasion toothpaste, a bottle of daily oral rinse and a bottle of fresh breath oral spray.
UltraDEX are renowned for their dedication to oral hygiene with the range they sent me focused on eliminating bad breath, something that all of us are affected with at some point in our lives. Studies have found the bad breath occurs in the mouth in 9 out of 10 cases, and even those with clean mouths can suffer. Eek! I know that I’m always a little paranoid if I’ve eaten garlic or something else strong tasting the night before, and will always think twice if I have a meeting or another social engagement to attend. During pregnancy I was always very sensitive to the smell of other people’s breath (sorry!) and it’s something I do tend to pick up on more easily now. So I was rather excited to try this range and was interested to see whether I could tell the difference. (more…)
A little while ago Ghostwriterdaddy and I were talking about how the kids don’t really collect things like we used to. I was so SO proud of my rubber collection. I had them all stored in an old Quality Street tin and would literally spending hours just sniffing them. I was easily pleased- don’t tell me I’m the only one! My favourite was a little pink ferrari that smelled of strawberries… so anyway. There seems to be so much stuff / toys in our house, but nothing that has really caught their attention and made them want to start a collection. They’ve had Match Attax cards, squinkies, Lego cards… but nothing sticks. That was, until Bella discovered Num Noms. And now, apparently, we have a collection in the making. Here are my thoughts on our Num Noms collection… series three.
What are Num Noms? (more…)
Back in October Bella and I were invited to go and see Disney’s Frozen on ice show in Manchester and it really couldn’t have been more of an exciting opportunity! Bella has been a huge Queen Elsa fan for as long as we both can remember; one of the first songs she learned to sing was ‘Do you Wanna Build a Snowman’ and since the song was released we’ve barely stopped playing both the DVD and the CD. It can get a little much sometimes, but I have to tell you that she’s not the only one more than a little bit in love with the film! Along with attending the amazing show, we were also asked to take a look at Disney’s Fit to Dance resources designed to help bring the fun to life, and to encourage kids to get active and start moving at home and school. This is our Fit to Dance with Disney story!
First of all, I need to let you know just how exciting this opportunity has been. This is Bella’s face when we first arrived at Disneyland in Paris last Christmas. As we walked through the gates, from her vantage position on Daddy’s shoulders, Bella immediately spotted Anna and Elsa in their ice carriage and she was. blown. away. I mean, look at that face!
We’re so proud to be part of the #FrugiFamily!
This year’s Christmas project is a little different because we were recently sent some mystery items to try out, and we also have a super giveaway for you too! So without further ado, I’d like to wish you a very merry Frugi Christmas!
Our items arrived in one of Frugi’s new- and very beautiful- Christmas gift bags. All tied up with a big red ribbon, the bags are made from thick card and are sturdy enough to survive the Christmas post, plus they look gorgeous under the tree too.
