How is this is even happening? How am I making this announcement, with every intention of following this through? How has it already begun, this new journey? But it has, even if only slightly. And it’s very early days, but this new stage for our family has begun none the less. And so I need to make the announcement, and make it real. Make it so it is really happening.
We are ambassadors for Huggies Pull Ups.
And so begins one of the last journeys my last baby will take. From nappy to knickers. For the last time. A lingering vestige of babyhood that she is becoming more and more ready to rid herself of. Again, how is this even happening? (more…)
We LOVE being part of the Frugi Family! The clothes are just beautiful and the company is pretty awesome too.
With their 1% for the planet policy, Frugi have now raised over £130,000, part of a collective $100 million worldwide. There are 1200 companies across 48 countries taking part to raise money for the safe-keeping of our world (you can find out more here) and I think it’s a pretty awesome thing to do. So every year Frugi donates 1% of it’s annual turnover to three environmental charities, which this year are The Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Cornwall Wildlife Trust, and The Woodland Trust.
With this in mind, and the fact that all the clothes in the Frugi range are organic, original and lovingly crafted, we jumped at the chance to continue as part of the Frugi family. Can you blame us?
This time it was Bella’s turn to try something from the new range, and we chose the Little Pretty Party dress in Natural Woodland design– it’s absolutely gorgeous!
We’re taking part in Adventure of Adam’s Tuff Spot A-X challenge once more and this time our letter is X!
I have to admit, x-ray was the first thing that came to mind and I don’t usually stick to the first thing at all, but I could see so much potential for this one! Recent events have dictated this one in fact. Not only have we recently done a dolly hospital at home, but poor old me has only gone and broken bones too! The kids have been asking lots of questions about my poor broken toes, and what it was like having an x-ray, so I couldn’t really pass this opportunity up. So here we have it: Tuff Spot A-Z: X is for X-ray!
First of all, I want to say how pleased I am that this activity worked so well. THANK YOU Teach Preschool!
Since the kids were already up to date with what a broken bone is, and what a plaster cast looks like, all we needed to talk about prior to this activity was what an x-ray actually was. We used YouTube to watch a couple of videos of kids going to the hospital to have an x-ray, and the kids were enthralled watching the big camera. But no x-ray pictures! Good old Google Images came up with lots though, and we spent some time talking about what we could see on the photos. (more…)
Recently we were sent a Russell the dream sheepdog from Sweet Dreamers, the creators of the iconic Ewan the dream sheep. The Toddler has had a Ewan since she was very small, so we knew already how fab Russell was likely to be. And we weren’t disappointed! Since The Toddler moved from a cot to a bed, she’s had a few unsettled nights where she’s fallen onto the floor or woken with no covers on so the timing of Russell was perfect! This is the story of Bella and Russell…
A cuddly companion
The Toddler has inherited her siblings’ love of cuddly toys, so the minute she saw Russell she was in love! Nicknamed ‘My Purple Dog’, Russell has pretty much been by The Toddler’s side since he arrived and when he’s not he sits happily at the end of here bed. Because the toy is soft and cuddly, it makes a wonderful sleeping buddy too, even without batteries for the sounds and lights. (more…)
